About the Author

Hi, I'm Michelle. I'm an author, a primary school teacher and a mum of two gorgeous, cheeky children!

I first visited Jervis Bay as a newborn baby. My Nana and Grandad bought a little two bedroom house in Vincentia and I have been exploring Jervis Bay ever since! My children now get to experience this magical spot and I love exploring alongside them!

This photo is me in my happy place. Salty skin and hair, big smile, fresh from a swim in the crystal clear water of Greenfield Beach.

When I am not diving under waves, paddle boarding or admiring the local wildlife, you will find me scribbling in my notebook and daydreaming about where to explore next!

  • Collingwood Beach

You can't go wrong with a quick dip at Collingwood Beach, especially with young children. Bring your paddle board, bucket and spade and sense of adventure! Keep a look out for dolphins playing in the bay.

  • A walk to Plantation Point

Start at Collingwood beach and begin rock hopping! Make sure you stop and admire the intricacies of the many rock pools. Then stroll on the soft, white sand all the way around to Plantation Point. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the active marine life. Look out for a pod of dolphins, a stingray or a school of fish. You never know what you might see!

  • White Sands Walk/ Scribbly Gum Track

Start at the breathtakingly beautiful Greenfield Beach (my favourite!). Both walks are absolutely stunning and lead you towards Chinamans Beach, Little Hyams Beach and then to Hyams Beach. Enjoy a swim and a snorkel, and admire the beauty that is all around!
